Hi.. everyone, sorry for the lull, been hybernating, ooops! not actually but have been very busy with school. I am teaching... I'm a teacher now! sigh! Yes, and it's all fulfilling and disappointing at the same time because I happened to be assigned in a school where most of the students are the offsprings of parents with low income level, therefore I deal with low cognitive level, 40 to 60 misbehaving and unruly students in a cramped, hot, and noisy room everyday.
Talking at the top of my voice to these sweaty, hungry uninterested students is a challenge both physical and mental. What do you do when they just look at you with blank stares? How do you make them understand the lesson when all they want is to go home and resume their part time jobs to help with the family income. Or go home to a neighborhood where most of its inhabitants are into drugs... peddling, running, pushing. No wonder, some of my students look strange, their minds wandering somewhere. What is the relevence of the lesson I'm teaching? would it change their life situation?
Have to go.... next time I'll post some more of this....
Blog with you again....Bye
