veggies grown naturally

Produce, specifically veggies and fruits grown naturally are hard to find nowadays. Either they are organically or conventionally grown, meaning they have been smothered with generous servings of fertilizers, fungicides, pesticides,weedicides... you name it, wrecking havoc not only on our farm soils but also reduces the nutrients we get from these products.

Organically grown veggies may not use as much chemical based fertilizers but incorporate animal manure in the soil. Improper handling and application might contaminate leafy greens such as lettuce and root crops like carrots and potatoes. It could also cause infection from parasites- now resistant to antibiotics, inhabiting the intestines of animals. Animal dung also contain residues from growth hormones and antibiotic posing similar harmful effects same as using chemical fertilizers. Eating produce grown through agro-chemicals could also cause skin allergies to sensitive individuals.

What to do? If you have a spot in your backyard or ample soil in a plant box or in a large pot, plant your own favorite veggies and herbs let it grow naturally....with only sun, soil and water. Meaning, let the nutrients from decaying micro organisms in the soil and natural chemical processes that produces nitrogen and other minerals do its work to feed that plant of yours.
Keep the soil moist, a enough sunlight,a little tender loving care and carry the thought that when you eat these plants, you are making the initial step toward establishing a habit of eating naturally grown food, and another step to keep us away from harmful chemicals found in toxic commercial farm soils, and better, we contribute to the soil's purification. Moreso, veggies grown naturally taste better, fruits taste sweeter. Gather and eat it fresh... you can't help but notice the sweet aroma of a freshly plucked fruit or newly cut salad green void of chemical sprays to preserve it from a long farm to market trip. You also save yourself of an irritating feeling in your stomach commonly associated when ingesting farm products grown with agro-chemicals. You also take the first step in saving our environment. Recent findings shows that the use of chemical fertilizers is a significant source of greenhouse gas emissions and contributes greatly to climate change.

You also give your body natural vitamins and minerals... (not synthetic) that could revive your immune system which has for a long time dependent on synthetically manufactured food supplements.

Remember that the soil is a living thing, nourishing a living plant which in turn nourishes us, living human beings. If you render the soil dead or decaying through toxic chemical ammendments, we feed on poorly nourished plants which in turn render our bodies undernourished and our brain deprived of essential nutrients... perhaps the reason why we incongrously think and act like we do now.

There's hope! Start by loving our bodies.Minimize consuming processed foods containing artificial flavors and prerservatives.

. LET'S DETOXIFY OURSELVES. Let's get NATURAL!
